DAY 1: Arrive to Cusco and Transfer to Hotel.

Arrivel to Cusco in any time, reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities.

Day 2: Archaeological City Tour Cusco

In the afternoon at 13pm, visit the city of Cusco, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour begins at Plaza de Armas where you will visit the famous cathedral. After touring this sacred church. Then, walk through street until Koricancha temple, ancient Inca palace and the home of the Sun God, where a long years after, the order of Dominicans built a wonderful church that remains in place. From Qoricancha we will continue by bus outside of the city, to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Inca construction known by huge walls of hewn stone, located in a strategic place, on a hill, with a wide view of the city of Cusco. The visit ends after knowing the archaeological sites of Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay important religious centers and administrates.

DAY 3: Sacred Valley Full Day.

Breakfast at the hotel. Output to tour the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the way, we will stop in some places to see the beautiful sceneries and mountains. We will visit the archeological site called Pisac with biggest Inca terraces that people used for agriculture and we will continue to visit the traditional market, where you will have free time to walk and interact with a local people or to buy some gifts. Then we are continuing until Urubamba town for our Buffet lunch in a local restaurant, after this we will visit Ollantaytambo Inca town, which has spectacular water channels on the streets made by stone with Inca characteristic.Finally, on the way back to Cusco we stop in Chinchero town, where we visit the archeological site and the beautiful colonial church. You will admire the well-preserved Inca wall in the main square.

DAY 4: Inca Trail - Km 82 - Llullucha Pampa.

Today early morning, we pick up you from your hotel to ride in our private transport to KM 82 (2,350 m) called Piscacucho, the start point of the Inca Trail trek. There, we show our inca trail permit to the guardians, then you walk along the Urubamba River visiting the archaeological inca sites of Willca Raccay and Patallacta. Later, you continue by the Cusichaca River valley who offering magnificent views of the Veronica Mountain (5,850 m). After walking for about 3 hours till to Wayllabamba where you have lunch, later we hike in ascend until reach Llulluchapampa (3,850 m) where is our first campsite and dinner.

DAY 5: Inca Trail - Llullucha Pampa - Chaquicocha.

After breakfast, very early continue our hike ascending to the highest point of the Inca trail called Abra Warmiwañusqa (Dead Woman Pass) located at 4,200 metres, during the trail we pass through the cloud forests offering excellent views of snowcapped peaks. From Warmiwañusqa, we will descending to the Pacaymayo Valley (3,300 m), where we have lunch and time for rest. Then you continue climbing through the valley to the ruins of Runkuracay. Continuing the hike, we get over the second pass called Abra Runkurakay (3,860m), walking on this trail till to the next site Sayacmarca and Chaquicocha where is our second campsite.

DAY 6: Inca Trail - Chaquicocha - Wiñaywayna

Today we will passing through lovely subtropical vegetation and many important archaeological sites. Before we reach the first site, we need to pass the Phuyupatamarca Pass (3,670 m), behind it; we can see the Inka complex with the same name (3,600 m), who is one of the best-preserved and most completed sites of the Inca Trail. The name corresponds to the Quechuan language that means the Town over the Clouds; here we have lunch. Then, we start a steep descent by cloud forest offering beautiful orchids and different species of birds on the way till reach our last campsite at Wiñay Wayna (2,700 m) where we have dinner.

DAY 7: Inca Trail -Wiñay Wayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco.

Today is the great day, is the last day of the hike so we get ready early to start climbing antique steps until Inti Punku (the Sun Gate) to see the sunrise above the Machu Picchu Inca citadel. Then start to descend to the Machu Picchu heart to enjoy a two and half hour guided tour of the lost City of the Incas. Afterwards you have a free time to climb the peak of Huayna Picchu on your own to take some panoramic pictures of Machu Picchu, or to explore more the citadel, This 4 day Inca Trail finish descending to the Aguas Calientes town where we board a train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.

DAY 8: Departure.

  • BRIEFING: Two or one night before your expeditions, we are going to your hotel or you will come to our office for your briefing, it is an information session for the tril to be ready to 100% for the trek day.
  • PROFESSIONAL GUIDES: All our guides studied English and Tourism at the University, institutes, and have many months giving support to the trekkers before to start to work in this kind of adventures like a guide.
  • HOTEL:The activity include 4 nights hotel in Cusco and 3 in tents on the Inca Trail. We include a 3 star basic hotel with shared rooms (Double, Marital and Triple rooms). If you would like to upgrade your hotel level or prefer a single room, there will be an additional cost. We can easily add extra nights before and after the tour if needed and we can do the tour without any hotels if you prefer to book on your own.
  • TRANSPORTATION:All your transportation are included in this Tour, for Cusco and the Trail, You will be picked up directly from your hotel at around 6 AM and carried to the trailhead the day 1. The day 4 your guide will provide you your bus ticket to make your way down from Machu Picchu to Aguas Clientes.
  • TRAIN EXPEDITIONS: Is included the train from Aguas Caleintes to Ollantaytambo the day 4, from where we transfer you to Cusco city in our car (If you prefer, you can upgrade your train to the Vistadome train for $65 per person.).
  • STORAGE DURING THE TREK: In the moment of the pre-departure briefing, we will provide you a small duffle bag to pack your things for the trail, this bag will carried by the horses with no option to get anything until the campsite. You should therefore bring a daypack in which you can carry your personal belongings such as camera, water and sunscreen, etc.The other part of your things that are not necessary for the trail, you can leave at hotel store or you can leave it with us until come back of the tour.
  • EQUIPMENT: Do Adventures Peru has the best equipment. We use Kaylas tents with capacity for 4 person, but we put only 2 people. This allows some room to spread out and keep your duffels safely with you.
  • FOOD & CHEFS: Many of our customers comments about the wonders of our chefs. They make magic happen on the trail in a small tent over a single flame. The food is served family style, there will be plenty of options for everyone, and always food left over. If you are vegetarian, it is not problem for us, just tell us and you will have vegetarian food. Each day will consist of breakfast, lunch, happy hour with tea and snacks and dinner. Your last meal will be breakfast of the last day. Lunch the last day is not included.
  • WATER: We will supply all the water you need for your trek. This water will be boiled, filtered and then cooled down before distributing. You must supply your own water bottles or camelback and we recommend carrying about 3L. We will refill just each moorning and encourage you to drink as much as possible as you hike. Hydration is key to feeling great in the mountains, just in each breakfast, for another hand in each camping places have local villagers who sell bottles of mineral water, if you prefer you can buy as a way collaborate to obtain income. the prices are different according how far we are.
  • SUPPORT STAFF or PORTERS:We include porters who is responsible for carrying the meals and tents during the trail. During the trek you have to bring your own pack with the things (personal things, sleeping bag, matt), because the porters just carry the meals.

    Note (Personal Porters): If you are considering bringing some photography equipment or other heavy accessories, or just simply don’t want to carry anything, please request additional portering service to carry your personal belongings (i.e. sleeping bag, foamy pad), this way you will freely enjoy the hike. (This is highly recommended if you have never hiked over 10000 feet).

    If you request additional portering service, the additional porter is allowed to carry up to 15 kg (33 lb) of your belongings, the remaining 5 kg (12.5 lb) will be for the porter’s personal belongings. Support inca trail porters as they do the hardest job.
    - Each porter load of 15 kg (33 lb) is available for USD 120.00
    - Each porter load of 7 kg (15 lb) is available for USD 60.00
  • FIRST AID: Your safety is our number 1 concern. All our guides are trained to provide support in these causes. They all will have first aid kits and full oxygen bottle in case anything happens. We will get you off the trail as quickly and comfortably as possible, if needed and will make sure you get directly to a clinic for treatment. This is not something to worry about - but if something happens, we will be there for you.Note: before to do the trek or any type of adventure tour, we recommend you to visit your doctor and explain about the activity that will do, and please try to bring a small first aid bag each according to your conditions to stay peaceful.
  • ENTRANCE TICKETS CUSCO: Many of the sites in Cusco and the Sacred Valley accept the Boleto Turistico (Tourist Ticket), which is a bit costly, but grants access to many of our areas highlights. Included in this tour are the 4 inca ruins you visit on the city limits. The ticket can be purchased as a one (1) day pass for 70 PEN or a ten (10) day pass for 130PEN. A valid ISIC card does offer a discount on the 10 day pass for 70 PEN. Only soles are accepted and it must be paid in cash. You will be able to purchase this directly at the first site. The cathedral and Temple of the Sun are separate entrance tickets and are 25 PEN and 15 PEN respectively.
  • RENTALS: Every trekker needs a sleeping bag when you choose a trek with camping. Inflatable air matts are optional, but do help in getting a good night sleep. Walking sticks are definitely encouraged and must have a rubber tip when bringing your own. If you do not have or want to bring any of the above, they are all available for rent:
  • HUAYNAPICCHU: Huaynapicchu is the mountain located inside the Machu Picchu Park and has beautiful views from the top. It takes 45 minutes to get to the top and then 45 minutes back down and is quite steep for those scared of heights. This is done after your tour of Machu Picchu and is $70 per person to hike. This is extremely popular and needs to be arranged at least a month or two prior to your trek. Please understand that we can not control weather and cloudy days will prevent perfect pictures.
